The vineyards that give rise to this wine are located in the surroundings of Villa de Lerma, in the Arlanza river valley, a tributary of the well-known Douro river. These are the majority in property, being treated in a traditional way.
PREPARATION AND AGING
Harvested by hand at its optimum point of maturation in boxes of 15 Kg. The bunches pass through the selection table and are then de-stemmed, the grapes are incubated in small stainless steel tanks where they are kept for a few days in cold, with slow fermentation. at about 26ºC. A 12-month aging in French and American oak barrels makes it a fruity and fine wine.
VIEW: Dark cherry red color with garnet trims, high cape and large tear.
NOSE: It is a wine full of nuances and complexity, a mixture of black fruit with very interesting noble woods. Fruits such as blackcurrants and woods such as cedar stand out, but with memories of a very typical Tempranillo licorice.
MOUTH: Fatty and structured; it is a tasty wine with extraordinary amplitude
