Macallan 12 Years Double Cask
Macallan Gold is part of the new range of the family
Macallan Gold is part of the new range of the family, which focuses on colour. The theory is that by using 100% sherry barrels and natural colour, the darker the whiskey, the more complex and aged.
The Macallan distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer professor and school teacher. Farmers have been making whiskey on their farms for centuries.
Since it was founded by Alexander Reid, The Macallan has been recognized for the quality of its product above all. This is the basis of his fame throughout the world.
Macallan Gold was launched at the end of 2012 as part of the 1824 bottling series based on colours, introduced to replace the classification for years. This series also includes Macallan Amber, Ruby and Sienna.

Palate: Citrus and caramels rule the palate, along with hints of ginger and cinnamon, while soft oak tones reveal toasted apples.
Finish: Medium sweet, malt and a little dry
